The SLA Virginia Center embraces the SLA philosophy of providing a balance between community interpreting and the escalating needs of Video Relay Service. One side of the center houses a VRS call center, demonstrating the shared commitment to provide quality interpreting services for video relay users and a safe, supportive working environment for video interpreters.
The other side of the house has become home to two very important endeavors: the SLA Virginia Center Community Interpreting Services and the SLA Professional Education Center. The SLA Virginia Center recognizes the need for building strong, solid and trusting relationships with the local and statewide deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind and interpreting communities. It is to this end that we work to ensure a positive and constructive atmosphere.
SLA is a registered vendor with the state Virginia eVA.
